Computer Students Earn Recognition

Mrs. Carson’s 7th and 8th grade computer classes joined schools from around the country for a week-long Code-a-Thon contest sponsored by During the week of November 14 – 18 students had free access to Easy Code, an easy-to-implement coding curriculum that challenges to help students learn to code in a real programming language. The winners of the 2016 Code-a-Thon was North Heights Junior High School in Texarkana, Arkansas. Robert E. Howard Middle School is the Code-a-Thon Regional Winner and won a year-long subscription to Easy Tech and Easy Code Premium for the school. Robert E. Howard Middle has full access to the curriculum from January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017. All teachers and students will have access to Easy Tech & Easy Code at no cost to the school or district. Congratulations students on your hard work and collaborative efforts in successfully completing the Code-a-Thon--not only have you learned a skill for life, you have provided your schoolmates with the same opportunity.  "An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.--Benjamin Franklin
